Daniel Schultz the Younger won his fame on great portraits. He was working as private painter of three Polish kings: John II Casimir, Michael Corybut Wi¶niowiecki and John III Sobieski. Except the kings, Schultz was also painting the richest nobles.
The most impressive of Schultz's portraits are portraits of: Wincenty Gosiewski; Andrzej Trzebicki; John II; John III; Michael Corybut Wi¶niowiecki; Stanisław(?) Krasiński; Constance Schuman and Jan Heweliusz. Paintings of Schultz are the best part of Polish Baroque art.
Daniel Schultz was signing his works very rarely, so lots of his paintings are known as "probably painted by Daniel Schultz", like "Portrait of Jaremi Wi¶niowiecki". Historians were suspecting for many years that "Portrait of Constance Schuman" could have been painted by Andrzej Stech and "Portrait of Andrzej Trzebicki" was painted in Daniel's Frecher's workshop, however all these painters must have worked under big influence of Schultz.
